What every parent should know about Education and Career Partnership
It is never too early to encourage your child to explore career options.
Why should my child choose ECP?
- Your child can earn college credit while in high school
- Your child will get training for work in today's marketplace
- ECP curriculum meets vigorous academic and career related standards
- Your child can save money on tuition, fees, and books by not repeating courses in college
How can my child do this?
Successfully complete certain high school courses (you may earn credit through a process known as Articulation )
- Participate in Dual Enrollment
- Earn a minimum grade of 85 in any articulated course
- Meet the same standards set for the college level course
- Meet the graduation requirements of their high school and pass the Georgia High School Graduation Exam
- Enroll in college within 18 months of high school graduation
- Validate their credit at Swainsboro Technical College
